Black Liquor Tanks cleaned safely with Automated Hydrobast Equipment

Putting innovative hydroblast equipment and safety in the forefront, CCS recently cleaned both the weak and strong black liquor tanks for a pulp and paper client in Southwest Washington with an automated 3D tank cleaning nozzle using 1,100 horsepower of hydroblast equipment.  The liquor tanks measured 60 feet in diameter and can present both chemical exposure and inhalation hazards to those servicing the tanks.  CCS was able to clean the vessel without sending employees inside the confined space area by utilizing state-of-the-art hydroblast equipment that produces 180 gallons per minute at 10,000psi, successfully completing the project while greatly reducing exposures.

CCS is a Pacific Northwest area provider of industrial, environmental remediation, hazardous waste management, and emergency response services with locations in Longview, Aberdeen and Port Angeles, Washington as well as Portland and Eugene, Oregon.  24-hour services and equipment include vacuum trucks, hydroblasters, street sweeping,  land and marine spill response, hazardous waste transportation and disposal, tank cleaning, sewer and line cleaning, storm water services, tanker trucks, hydro-excavation, boiler floor cleaning, confined space rescue, UST cleaning and decommissioning, HAZWOPER safety training, and more.
